As a Draughtsman in our new Porto office, you play a key role in visualising and supporting the engineering behind complex offshore projects.
Your role in the story
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman who enjoys translating engineering concepts into clear and practical designs. At Heerema Marine Contractors, our offshore projects rely on accurate drawings and models that enable safe and efficient execution.
In this role, you support the engineering team by creating detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore installation and construction projects. You work closely with installation and structural engineers to ensure designs are both technically sound and practically feasible.
You will be part of a growing engineering team in Porto and work closely with engineers across different disciplines. Together, you contribute to delivering complex offshore projects while building a strong and collaborative working environment.
What you will be working on
- Creating 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore installation methods and construction designs
- Supporting engineers by translating concepts into clear technical visualisations
- Collaborating with installation and structural engineers to optimise designs
- Contributing to practical and efficient solutions for offshore challenges
- Supporting the preparation of visualisations and animations in cooperation with the visualisation team
- Delivering 3D models for use in simulations and testing of installation methods
- Working with tools such as MicroStation, CAD, Inventor or similar software
- Contributing to a structured and accurate way of working within the Porto engineering team
Key ingredients for success
- A technical vocational (MBO or equivalent) or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline
- Experience with 2D/3D drawing and modelling tools (e.g. MicroStation, AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A practical mindset and ability to work closely with engineers
- A proactive and flexible team player
- Good communication skills in English
- Willingness to learn and develop in an international engineering environment
