Do you enjoy turning complex technical challenges into winning offshore tenders? As Tender Coordinator at Heerema Marine Contractors, you play a key role in shaping competitive proposals for some of the most impressive offshore projects worldwide.
Your role in the story
As Tender Coordinator, you support and coordinate all activities within the tender process. You are responsible for aligning technical solutions, budgets, schedules and stakeholder inputs in line with the Client’s Invitation to Tender (ITT) and Heerema Marine Contractors’ tender strategy. Your challenge is to ensure that our tenders present a project execution plan that is technically safe, feasible, competitive and cost‑efficient. You bring structure to complexity and keep overview in a dynamic environment with short deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you work closely with internal disciplines and external partners, challenge assumptions where needed and gather all relevant information to develop a strong, attractive and well‑substantiated tender submission.
What you will be working on:
- Reviewing ITT documentation, including scope of work, drawings, specifications and responsibility matrices
- Preparing and coordinating the tender kick‑off, aligning expectations with supporting departments
- Coordinating and challenging cost estimating and scheduling activities
- Supervising the development of a feasible, competitive and safe project execution plan
- Supervising and challenging technical feasibility analyses
- Checking availability and suitability of Heerema equipment and advising on rental or procurement of alternatives
- Drafting and maintaining the Tender ITT compliance matrix
- Compiling the complete tender package and ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Monitoring progress and ensuring timely tender execution
- Ensuring a proper technical and commercial hand‑over to the project execution team after contract award
Your future colleagues:
You will be part of the Commercial Department, which is responsible for generating value by winning projects against good margins and manageable risk. In this role, you work in one or more tender teams alongside a Tender Manager, Cost Estimator and multiple discipline experts.
You collaborate intensively with technical, commercial and operational specialists across the organisation and maintain contact with external stakeholders. You report directly to the Manager Tenders and work in a professional, driven environment where teamwork and shared ownership are key.
Key ingredients for success:
- A higher vocational, Bachelor or Polytechnic degree in a commercial or technical field
- At least 5 years of experience in the Offshore industry
- Strong interest in both the technical and commercial aspects of offshore projects
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels, internally and externally
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Flexibility and willingness to travel when required
