Great offshore projects start with great engineers. As a Senior Corporate Recruiter, you play a key role in building the engineering teams behind some of the most spectacular offshore projects in the world.

Your role in the story:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Corporate Recruiter who gets energy from recruiting engineering professionals for complex, high-impact offshore projects. At Heerema Marine Contractors, our engineers work on some of the largest and most impressive maritime projects worldwide, and the people behind these projects are deeply proud to be part of this.

In this role, you take the lead in end-to-end recruitment for engineering positions across the organisation. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and enjoy being close to the engineering teams that turn bold ideas into reality. You partner with engineering leaders, challenge hiring decisions using data and market insights, and translate complex technical requirements into compelling stories that resonate with scarce engineering talent.


What you will be working on:

  • Owning the full end-to-end recruitment process for engineering roles.
  • Partnering closely with engineering managers as a trusted advisor and sounding board.
  • Turning complex technical profiles into clear, appealing candidate propositions.
  • Using labour market data and target group insights to shape effective recruitment strategies.
  • Continuously improving sourcing approaches, recruitment processes and candidate experience.
  • Applying competency-based interviewing and assessments to identify skills, mindset and growth potential.
  • Working closely with recruitment marketing specialists to strengthen employer branding for engineering audiences.
  • Balancing strategic workforce planning with hands-on recruitment in a dynamic project environment.

Key ingredients for success:

 

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Corporate Recruiter, preferably with engineering or technical profiles.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
  • A positive, proactive mindset and confidence to take ownership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience acting as a business partner.
  • Solid knowledge of competency-based recruitment and selection.
  • Experience working with recruitment tools and recruitment marketing specialists.
  • A data-driven way of working, without losing the human touch.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Dutch is required.


Your future colleagues:


You will work closely with your recruitment colleagues Gerco, Ellen, Arjan, Lisa, Corliz, Marieke and Linsey. You also collaborate intensively with engineering leadership and HR colleagues across the organisation. You report directly to the Lead Recruitment.
