Your role in the story:

As Safety Officer, you provide proactive guidance and operational support on board. You coach personnel in the proper implementation of Heerema’s QA/SHE Management System and help maintain the highest standards of safety.

You support effective Control of Work, including the preparation of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and facilitate toolbox talks. You advise on safety precautions and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment. You also assist with helicopter operations as Helicopter Landing Officer, maintain safety records and support accident and incident investigations and reporting. You report to the HSE Officer.

You work on Heerema’s offshore construction vessels in a dynamic environment where safety, quality, health and the environment are central to everything we do.

What you will be working on:

• Provide proactive safety guidance and operational support on board

Key ingredients for success:

• Offshore Personnel Qualification Requirements Diploma
• MVK diploma or equivalent as a minimum
• At least 3 years of offshore experience as a Safety Officer
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good command of English and either Dutch or Spanish, spoken and written
• Adaptable, proactive and open to suggestions and ideas on safety
