Your role in the story: 
As a vital member of our Subsea Services group, you are the technical link between Heerema’s vessels, project teams, and external subcontractors. Your pragmatic mindset and "can-do" attitude allow you to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions in a dynamic project environment. You will ensure seamless collaboration with subcontractors, oversee technical aspects of ROV and subsea tooling operations, and contribute to the success of tenders and projects. Whether advising on cutting-edge tooling, evaluating subcontractor proposals, or providing hands-on offshore support, your expertise drives operational excellence and strengthens our ability to meet project goals.

What you will be working on:

• Technical Subcontractor management tasks such as:
  • Manage the technical interface between subcontractors and Heerema’s vessels and project teams
  • Technically assess and evaluate subcontractor proposals for subsea services and act as internal technical single point of contact (SPOC)  
• Tenders and projects preparation with respect to ROV & subsea tooling engineering:
  • Advise on ROV, subsea cutting and dredging operations and propose fit- for-purpose tooling solutions
  • Identify project requirements and define required subcontractor equipment and personnel  
  • Prepare scope of works and review subcontractor procedures 
  • Determine testing requirements
  • Provide on-site assistance during equipment testing/qualification, mobilization, and offshore execution of subsea operations (~10% of the year)
• Keep up-to-date with market developments and latest technologies 

Key ingredients for success:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/civil engineering, Ocean Technology, Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering or equivalent;
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in offshore/subsea operations;
