As Project Manager, you are responsible for managing all aspects of installation and decommissioning projects within the offshore energy market. You are involved from the tender phase, supporting bid preparation, and take full ownership from contract award through to close out.
Commercial sharpness is a key requirement in this role: you actively manage contracts, lead client discussions, identify commercial opportunities and deviations, and secure the best possible financial outcome for HMC.
Your role
- Strong focus on contract management, identifying deviations and negotiating variation orders to optimize financial results;
- Taking the lead in client interactions with a clear commercial mindset and ability to influence outcomes;
- Building and leading project teams, while supporting development of team members;
- Driving HSE and quality performance of the project;
- Developing and managing project execution plans and schedules;
- Optimizing project costs and results, including proactive risk and opportunity management;
- Managing change orders and contract deviations with strong commercial ownership;
- Ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables and effective procurement and subcontract management;
- Overseeing material management and project controls;
- Managing internal and external reporting;
- Maintaining structured risk management, including mitigation plans;
- Capturing lessons learned and ensuring proper project close out;
- Supporting tender phase activities by optimizing budgets, execution plans, and commercial positioning.

You will work with experienced Project Managers and lead multidisciplinary project teams across the organization.
Job requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or equivalent;
- 10 years experience in the offshore industry with a strong affinity for project management;
- Proven commercial acumen: strong in contract management, claims and negotiations, and able to drive commercial results;
- Result-oriented with strong delegation skills;
- Solid understanding of offshore projects;
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken;
- Willingness to work offshore, overseas, or in other offices when required.
