Your role in the story: 
As a Jr. Installation Engineer you provide technical work preparation services for product development, studies, tenders and projects in the offshore installation and removal industry. You will have the opportunity to go offshore on our vessels and see your designs, procedures and preparation work in action, supporting our fleet with anything that requires a bright technical mind and pro-active attitude. You are open to feedback, curious and eager to learn. You are enterprising at heart, have a pioneer’s spirit and take control of your own work and development.  

 

What you will be working on: 

  • Perform engineering, technical project preparation and execution support of offshore projects, i.e. heavy lift installation, wind foundation installation and removal projects;
  • Develop offshore execution methods for offshore projects, nomination of required equipment, concept and detail design of lifting arrangements etc.;
  • Define conceptual designs for guide and bumper systems and check during visualization and simulation sessions suitability;
  • You work together in project teams keeping in mind operation limits and the right procedure to execute the job;
  • Be a reliable partner to the project teams by keeping stakeholders informed and look ahead to identify bottlenecks;
  • Perform quality control on deliverables prepared by colleagues but also of subcontractors/third parties; Contribute to a continuous improving and learning organization by i.e. actively sharing knowledge and experiences and identifying and providing follow up to subjects for improvement.
  • Prepare subcontractor Scope of Works. 

You will start in a structural/design role to gain some experience with the company and the offshore field, after which you will grow into a work preparation role that aligns with your passion, ultimately paving the way towards a future in project engineering.

  • A Bachelor and/or Master degree Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar;
  • Excellent analytical, practical and pragmatic skills;
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written;
  • The ambition to work (temporarily) offshore on our vessels, overseas or in our other offices;
