Jr. Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

Job description

Ready to design equipment that actually goes offshore and see it in action?

Your role in the story:
As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you won’t just sit behind a screen designing components. You’ll see your ideas come to life, from concept to fabrication to offshore execution. From day one, you’ll learn on the job. You’ll gain hands-on insight into every stage of equipment design and discover how your work performs in real offshore conditions. Throughout the process, you’ll collaborate closely with Operations and our offshore crews. And yes, you may even step onboard our vessels to support project execution and receive direct feedback on your designs. As your experience grows, so does your impact. You’ll design robust and safe equipment while strengthening the wider Mechanical Engineering team. You’ll contribute to third-party equipment reviews, guide projects and other departments, support subcontractor management, and help troubleshoot technical challenges.

This isn’t just a job. It’s a steep learning curve with real responsibility.

What you will be working on:

  • Designing and developing bespoke offshore equipment used on our vessels worldwide;
  • Contributing to concept, basic and detailed design, starting with basic design and expanding your scope as you grow;
  • Preparing structural calculations, design reports, component justifications, test protocols and user manuals;
  • Visiting fabricators to inspect and witness functional testing;
  • Supporting commissioning onboard our vessels and acting as technical liaison for the crew.

Key ingredients for success:

  • A Bachelor and/or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Aviation, Aerospace, Automotive, Mechatronics or similar;
  • Solid fundamentals in structural and mechanical engineering and a strong drive to deepen your expertise;
  • Analytical, practical and solution-oriented mindset;
  • Confident communicator in English (spoken and written);
  • Willingness to work temporarily at fabricators, yards, offshore or in our offices;
  • A true team player who enjoys collaborating across disciplines.
  •

**Unfortunately, for this position, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship or work permit arrangements**

Your future colleagues:
Of course you are curious to meet us as well! You will be part of a compact, agile team with diverse skill sets where supervisory and coaching skills shine, providing valuable guidance to less experienced engineers.
