Engineering tomorrow’s circular offshore industry

Your role in the story
As a Circular Engineer, you'll be a sustainability champion, pioneering innovative solutions that reduce waste and enhance resource efficiency. By embracing smart solutions and eco-friendly practices, you'll help us achieve our vision of a circular economy. You'll be part of a small team, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in sustainability. Your contributions will not only help us reach our goals but also inspire others to join the movement towards a more sustainable world. If you're passionate about making big impact and driving change, this is the perfect opportunity for you to shine as a next-gen sustainability leader.

What you will be working on
Your mission will be to elevate our Circular Heerema ambition by mapping and monitoring our material and waste streams both onshore and offshore (e.g., steel consumption, material flow analyses, circular design). You will identify areas for improvement, collaborate on implementing these improvements, and contribute to our sustainability reporting. Additionally, you will support our broader Sustainability Ambitions, including decarbonization and ensuring the well-being of our people. Your practical efforts will be integral to driving our sustainability initiatives forward, helping us create a sustainable future.

You will do this in close collaboration with multiple teams, including Engineering, HSE, Procurement, Project Management, Operations and Equipment, our offshore fleet and various external companies. By collaborating with these key stakeholders, you will have a direct impact on integrating circular principles and sustainable solutions into our day-to-day operations, projects, and processes.

Key ingredients for success

  • Affinity with sustainability and circular economy and circular business models.
  • Affinity with the maritime and offshore industry.
  • Ability to concretize abstract issues with an open mind.
  • Knowledge and experience in the visualization of data.
  • Social skills to maintain valuable relationships internally and externally with clients and relevant companies from various industries.
  • Willingness to take on challenges and own responsibilities.

Your future colleagues:
Of course you are curious to meet us as well! Among others, you will work with Rushabh, Erik and Daniel.

Your Foundation for Success
At our core, we champion an entrepreneurial spirit and a relentless pursuit of growth. We seek individuals who excel in personal development, seize opportunities where others see challenges, and turn them into success. Whether you're a creative problem-solver, an ambitious go-getter, or someone who thrives in collaboration, we cultivate a culture of passion, dedication, and continuous improvement. Personal leadership and initiative are non-negotiable: you own your growth and the impact you make. If you tackle challenges with a creative yet practical mindset, drive goals with determination, and add value to diverse teams, you'll thrive with us. Together, we create impact and drive meaningful change, always focused on results.
