Your role in the story
Are you a student with a passion for offshore engineering and looking for an internship that makes real impact? Join our Structural Engineering team and contribute to complex, large-scale offshore projects. As an intern, you will work on challenging, hands-on assignments that directly support our operational projects, innovation initiatives, and future developments. 

 

What’s the challenge
You will take part in the structural engineering scope for real projects in one of our Product Lines; Decommissioning, Transport & Installation or Wind

 

Your assignments may include, for example:

  • Design and verification of rigging systems
  • Engineering of grillage and sea fastening
  • Development of temporary structures for offshore operations

Throughout the internship, you will receive close supervision and practical guidance from experienced structural engineers.

 

Your mission & goals
During your internship, you will:

  • Apply your theoretical knowledge to real-life engineering challenges
  • Learn how to work effectively within large, multidisciplinary project teams
  • Deliver tangible engineering outputs such as calculation reports, design models, engineering tools, or newly developed methods and knowledge

Is this you?

  • A student in Civil, Mechanical, Maritime, or Aerospace Engineering (WO/HBO level)
  • Interested in offshore construction and structural design
  • Familiar with (or eager to learn) tools such as Mathcad, FEM and/or Python
  • Comfortable working in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Independent, analytical, and curious, with a proactive mindset

 

Practical Information
Start date: September 2026, flexible upon agreement
Duration: 4-6 months, flexible upon agreement
Location: Leiden office
