Are you fascinated by the world of megastructures, offshore facilities, such as oil, gas and wind platforms, and would you like to work as a draughtsman on drawings required for offshore projects? 

 

Your role in the story

As a Draughtsman, you will play a key role in bringing our offshore projects to life. You'll support the Engineering team by creating detailed drawings and 3D models essential for the preparation, installation, and removal of offshore platforms and wind farms. You'll work closely with engineers and clients in multidisciplinary project teams, contributing to innovative and practical solutions for some of the most complex projects in the offshore installation industry. Your dedication ensures our operations run safely and efficiently – you're a vital link in the success of our projects.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities include the following:

 

  • Creating 3D models and 2D drawings relating to offshore installation methods and construction design.
  • Making drawings that comply with our Drawing Control procedures and department standards.
  • Collaborating with installation and structural engineers to optimize designs and visualizations.
  • Developing innovative solutions for offshore installations and construction challenges.
  • Coordinating with the visualization team to prepare animations
  • Providing 3D models for testing installation methods in the HMC simulation centre.
  • Working with tools such as Microstation, CAD, Inventor or Blender.

 

Who will you work with?

As a Draughtsman, you will work in the Drawing Office for the Product line Decomissioning, at our offices in London.

You are creative and come up with original solutions for job related problems. You have an awareness of the various aspects of the work, which will have a direct impact on the managers and decision makers within the organisation.

 

Furthermore, you will have these ingredients for success:

  • A completed MBO course in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
  • A minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience as a Draughtsman;
  • Willingness to work temporarily offshore on our ships or abroad;
  • A proactive attitude and driven to complete the work well;
  • Affinity with work preparation and planning;
  • Work accurately to meet Heerema’s operational standards for safe and efficient installation methods;
  • A team player with flexibility;
  • You have communication skills in the English language, both orally and in writing;
  • Must already be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom.
