Your role in the story
As a (Jr.) Structural Integrity Engineer you provide structural engineering support for product & business development, study, tender and commercial projects. Working with existing offshore structures which were never designed to be removed means puzzling and setting your structural engineering skills to work. Your technical analyses and calculations lead to making the right choices for the project. Therefore quality is paramount to you and you understand that working together is the basis for a good and safe result.

You will be assigned to the Decommissioning business line and occasionally also support Wind and Transport & Installation projects. As part of the Structural Integrity team you will be working on one of the many removal projects, balancing exotic out-of-the-box removal plans with a realistic view on the integrity of the structure. Using your expertise you can grow further into the discipline, being responsible for your own scopes and projects. Moreover you get to know fellow disciplines (Marine Engineering, Structural Design Engineering, Removal Engineering, Foundation, FEA etc.) along the way as they may provide input in your analyses, setting you up with a broad basis for any future challenge within our organization.
What you will be working on
- Perform structural strength verification analyses of offshore structure use of software packages SACS and GENIE;
- Construct structural models for offshore platforms (including weight control);
- Support concept development for platform removal tenders and projects;
- Develop and automate the future analysis methods;
- Review structural deliverables (construction reports and drawings);
- Perform quality control on deliverables prepared by colleagues;
- Support projects offshore or on yards.
Key ingredients for success:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, offshore engineering or equivalent;
- Affinity with Structural Engineering;
- Affinity with framework programs such as SACS or GENIE;
- Experience with programming or automation (e.g. Python programming) is considered a plus;
- Analytical, practical and pragmatic mindset;
- Excellent command of English.
